3 Ways to Rebuild Your Energy After Burnout!

If you spend a lot of time sensing, observing, and contemplating with great depth, your energy and focus will be in your mind.

Even when not fully present, your focus and attention naturally shift toward more subtle intellectual and sensory experiences. This means even when we might not be doing a lot physically/externally, there’s so much that you're always' doing' internally! However, when we don’t honour these beautiful propensities in the right way.
And try to fit into society's version of ‘normal’, fit into other people's expectations and frames of what's ‘right,’ ‘enough’ or ‘worthy’. Understandably, we’re going to become exhausted, depleted and burned out! In my years of working with Empaths and highly sensitive people.
I’ve found that loneliness is the most common reason for us burning out!
Loneliness is the absence of depth of connection.
Empaths spend their lives searching and yearning to be seen in ways that we see others, how we see the world.
What many empaths eventually discover, however, is that this longing can slowly pull our energy outward.
We become so focused on finding someone who understands us that we unintentionally disconnect from ourselves.
Over time, this creates an inner emptiness that no amount of external interaction can truly fill.
The practices below help reverse that pattern. They gently bring your awareness, breath, and energy back into your own heart and body.
When your inner world becomes a place of safety and presence again, loneliness begins to soften.
From that place, connection stops feeling like something you have to chase — and instead becomes something you can recognise and receive.
Here are 3 ways to start rebuilding your energy container
🪷 Prioritise connection over zoning out/dissociating to recharge. Understandably, we need time to switch off, but this doesn’t recharge our emotional and subtle energies, just the physical body. Instead, sit in silence with yourself, feel your breath coming into your body. Feel the natural flow coming in and going out.
🪷 Use your breath to bring your Spirit back to your Heart As you sit in silence and with your emotions, feel all that energy you’ve been pouring out come back to you, come back to your heart. If you feel energy cords going to other people or situations, cut them and bring your precious energy back to you.
🪷 What are you resisting? What is the lesson? In this process of pulling your energy back, you will likely notice resistance in the form of big emotions like anger or grief. Underneath these emotions are hidden messages trying to communicate something for your soul journey. You're exactly where you need to be. You're safe!
